Lipspeaking

Steve Hudson decided to develop his services for a wider range of deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people. After undergoing further training and assessments, he added being an NRCPD Registered Lipspeaker to his repertoire in 2019.

Since 2020, Steve has been able to offer working online (eg: Zoom, MS Teams etc) in addition to working face to face.

Booking direct means that you avoid paying agency fees etc.

General Information about Lipspeaking

A Lipspeaker is a hearing person who has been professionally trained to be easy to lipread. They will reproduce the rhythm, tone and flow used by the speaker, supporting their meaning with gesture, facial expression and, if required, finger spelling and/or supporting signs.

Lipreading can be very tiring for the lipreader so it is essential to use a professional who has been trained to lipspeak clearly.
